Yes!

You can add the media either from an online source or can upload a file from your computer drive. Affect Lab currently supports direct streaming of videos from the following two sources:

  1. Youtube
  2. Vimeo

However, private videos and embedded videos in Youtube and Vimeo cannot be played in the Affect Lab app or on the Browser, since the APIs block any access due to restriction set by the user who uploaded the video.

In addition to the above two video sources, you can also add any url that ends with .mp4 extension such as files that have been uploaded to FTP/SFTP server. Ensure that these video files are accessible from a generic browser. If your browser is able to play the video, Affect Lab will be able to stream the video as well.
